Kinsta vs Hostinger: The Quick Answer
Kinsta and Hostinger sit at opposite ends of the WordPress hosting market. Kinsta is a premium managed WordPress host and our #1 overall pick. Each site runs in its own isolated container on Google Cloud, with 30 data centers, a Cloudflare-powered CDN with 300+ locations, free malware removal, free unlimited migrations and 24/7 support from WordPress engineers. Hostinger is one of the most aggressive budget hosts, with WordPress plans from $2.99 a month on LiteSpeed-based servers.
The comparison comes down to what your site is worth to you. Choose Hostinger for a personal site, a first blog or a small project where the lowest price matters most and you are comfortable prepaying four years. Choose Kinsta when the site earns money, supports a business or needs to stay fast and secure without your attention. If you want low-cost hosting with a shorter commitment and phone support, Bluehost is our budget pick.

Pricing: What You Pay and for How Long
Hostinger's headline prices require a 48-month upfront payment, and all plans are paid upfront for the chosen term. After the term, plans renew at the regular rate. Kinsta lists one price, billed monthly or annually, with two months free on annual billing.
| Plan | Intro / Monthly | Renews At / Annual | Websites | Storage | Backups |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hostinger Premium | $2.99/mo (48 mo) | $10.99/mo | 3 | 20 GB SSD | Weekly |
| Hostinger Business | $3.99/mo (48 mo) | $16.99/mo | Unlimited | 50 GB NVMe | Daily |
| Hostinger Cloud Startup | $7.99/mo (48 mo) | $25.99/mo | Unlimited | 100 GB NVMe | Daily + on-demand |
| Kinsta Single 35k | $35/mo | $30/mo annual | 1 | 10 GB | Daily, 14 days |
| Kinsta WP 2 | $70/mo | $59/mo annual | 2 | 20 GB | Daily |
| Kinsta WP 5 | $115/mo | $96/mo annual | 5 | 30 GB | Daily |
As listed by each provider in October 2026. Hostinger's unlimited features are subject to fair use. Kinsta's entry Single plan includes the first month free for new customers.
Over a four-year term, Hostinger Premium costs $143.52 upfront, Business $191.52 and Cloud Startup $383.52, before taxes. Four years of Kinsta's entry plan on annual billing costs $1,400. That is a large difference, and for a hobby site it is hard to justify. For a site that earns money, the question is whether isolated resources, free malware removal and engineer support are worth the extra cost. See Kinsta pricing and Hostinger pricing for every plan.
Price Per Month After the Intro Term
Hostinger renewal prices and Kinsta list prices as listed in October 2026.
At renewal, the gap narrows. Hostinger's Cloud Startup renews at $25.99 a month, a few dollars below Kinsta's annual rate. Hostinger still allows unlimited sites on that plan, so it remains the lower-cost way to run many small sites.
Performance and Infrastructure
Kinsta runs on Google Cloud, using C3D machines according to its changelog. Every site runs in its own isolated LXD container with Nginx, MariaDB and PHP 7.4 through 8.5. Server-level full-page caching and edge caching are included, and HTTP/3 is on by default. Kinsta says turning on edge caching can cut page load times by 49%, and it says sites can be up to 200% faster after migrating.
Hostinger's WordPress plans run on LiteSpeed-based servers with built-in caching, a CDN and NVMe storage on Business and Cloud Startup (Premium uses SSD). For small and medium sites, this stack performs well, and Cloud Startup provides more dedicated capacity for busier sites.
The main difference is isolation and headroom. A Kinsta container keeps your site's resources separate from other customers, which matters most for stores, membership sites and pages that see traffic spikes. For a low-traffic blog, Hostinger's LiteSpeed stack is often enough.
Traffic Limits
Kinsta's single-site plans are billed on a visits basis or a bandwidth basis. The entry plan covers 35,000 visits a month, or 20 GB of bandwidth, with 125 GB of CDN bandwidth. A Kinsta "visit" is each unique IP in a 24-hour period. If you go over, your site stays online, Kinsta notifies you at 80% and 100% of your limits and bills overage fees. Hostinger's plans list their unlimited features as subject to fair use, so check plan resources if you expect heavy traffic.
Backups and Security
Kinsta runs automatic daily backups on every plan, plus manual backups and system restore points, with at least 14 days of retention on entry plans and 20 to 30 days on larger plans. Paid add-ons offer backups every 6 hours, hourly backups or external backups to AWS or Google Cloud. On security, Kinsta includes Cloudflare enterprise DDoS protection, two enterprise firewalls, 24/7 malware monitoring, uptime checks every 3 minutes, free SSL including wildcard certificates, two-factor authentication and SAML SSO. Kinsta holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications, and its Malware Security Pledge covers free malware removal if your site is hacked.
Hostinger includes free SSL and its own security tools on all plans. Premium includes weekly backups, while Business and Cloud Startup include daily backups with easy restore, and Cloud Startup adds on-demand backups. For a site that changes often, Business is the safer Hostinger tier.
Support
Kinsta's support is single-tier and available 24/7/365 from WordPress engineers, with live chat in 8 languages. Kinsta states an average first response under 2 minutes, 97–98% satisfaction and a 47-minute median resolution time. Support is chat-based, with no phone line stated.
Hostinger provides 24/7 support focused on live chat, supplemented by an AI assistant inside its hPanel dashboard. Phone support is not a main channel. Both hosts work through chat; the difference is that Kinsta's team specializes in WordPress performance and troubleshooting at every plan level.
Ease of Use and Developer Tools
Hostinger uses its own hPanel dashboard instead of cPanel, with WordPress installation, AI site creation and email management in one place. Beginners generally find it straightforward, and AI tools help generate starter content and layouts.
Kinsta's MyKinsta dashboard is built for running WordPress sites well. It includes one-click staging and push-to-live, cache and CDN controls, a redirects manager, a PHP version selector, search-and-replace, Git, SSH, WP-CLI, one-click site cloning and built-in APM at no extra cost. It supports unlimited users with granular permissions and an activity log, and DevKinsta is a free local development tool. Hostinger is simpler for a first site; Kinsta gives developers, teams and agencies far more control.
Domains and Email
Hostinger includes a free first-year domain and email mailboxes free for the first year, with limits by plan. Kinsta includes neither: you register your domain separately and pair Kinsta with a separate email provider. If you want everything under one bill for a new site, Hostinger and Bluehost are simpler. On managed WordPress, WPX includes business email from its Business plan up.
Migrations
Kinsta offers free unlimited migrations handled by its migration team, with no downtime and scheduled around you. Kinsta says it completes about 1,100 migrations a month with 96% satisfaction, offers expedited migrations in as little as 8 hours, and cleans up malware for free if it finds any during a move. This makes it easy to start on a budget host and move to Kinsta once a site grows. To move a site yourself, see our WordPress migration guide.
A Budget Option: Bluehost
If Kinsta is more than you need today but you would rather not prepay four years, Bluehost is our #2 overall host and the budget pick on this page. Bluehost includes a free first-year domain, free SSL, a free CDN, staging and weekly backups, and it has been recommended on WordPress.org since 2005.
