The Best Laravel Hosting for Apps of Every Size

Laravel is a widely used PHP framework for building web applications, from SaaS dashboards and APIs to online stores and internal tools. It is also more demanding than a typical PHP website. A production Laravel app expects a modern PHP version, Composer, command-line access for Artisan, a scheduler that runs every minute, queue workers that stay alive and usually Redis for cache, sessions and queues.

The best Laravel hosts make all of that easy, or at least possible. Here are our four picks, ranked for Laravel specifically:

  • Bluehost: our #1 Laravel host, for teams that want to grow from simple hosting to a VPS with one well-known provider.
  • ScalaHosting: our #2 pick for a managed cloud VPS with dedicated resources, SPanel and daily offsite backups.
  • Cloudways: our #3 pick. Managed cloud servers with one-click Laravel, SSH, Composer, Git deployment and built-in Redis, on the cloud provider you choose.
  • AccuWebHosting: our #4 pick, with Laravel among the one-click apps on its AccuWeb.Cloud platform, plus a 14-day free trial.

For PHP hosting beyond Laravel, see our broader PHP hosting guide.

What Laravel Needs From a Host

Before comparing providers, it helps to know what a Laravel app actually requires in production:

RequirementWhy It Matters
Current PHP versionEach Laravel release requires a minimum PHP version
ComposerInstalls and updates Laravel and its packages
SSH accessRuns Artisan commands, migrations and Composer
Web root set to /publicKeeps .env and app code out of public reach
Cron every minuteRuns Laravel's task scheduler
Long-running queue workersProcesses emails, jobs and notifications in the background
Redis or MemcachedSpeeds up cache, sessions and queues
MySQL, MariaDB or PostgreSQLStores your app's data
Git-based deploymentMakes releases repeatable and easy to roll back

Shared hosting can cover the basics for a small app, but queue workers, Redis and minute-by-minute cron are often limited. That is why most Laravel apps end up on managed cloud hosting or a VPS.

What to Look For in a Laravel Host

Selectable PHP Versions

Laravel versions track PHP closely. You need a host that supports current PHP releases and lets you switch per app, so you can upgrade Laravel and PHP together and test before going live.

SSH, Composer and Artisan

Running composer install, php artisan migrate and cache commands from the terminal is part of every Laravel deployment. SSH access is a must.

Scheduler and Queue Support

Laravel's scheduler needs one cron entry that runs every minute. Queue workers need a process monitor such as Supervisor to restart them. Check that your host supports both.

Caching

Redis is the default choice for Laravel cache, sessions and queues. OPcache and a full-page cache such as Varnish can also help busy apps.

Staging and Zero-Downtime Deploys

A staging copy lets you test migrations and dependency updates safely. Git deployment, ideally with zero-downtime tooling, keeps releases smooth.

Room to Scale

Laravel apps tend to grow. Pick a host where you can add CPU and RAM without moving to a new provider.

1. Bluehost: Best Overall Laravel Hosting

Bluehost, founded in 2003 and owned by Newfold Digital, sells shared and WordPress hosting along with self-managed and managed VPS and dedicated servers. Its WordPress plans include SSH and WP-CLI, and its VPS plans give you a server you can configure for a production Laravel app. That makes Bluehost a practical home for a business that runs a WordPress marketing site today and a Laravel app tomorrow. Read our Bluehost review; check Bluehost's site for current VPS specs and prices.

Strengths

  • Shared, VPS and dedicated with one provider
  • Managed and self-managed VPS options
  • 24/7 support

Limitations

  • No one-click Laravel installer advertised

2. ScalaHosting: Best Managed VPS for Laravel

ScalaHosting, a Dallas-based host founded in 2007, is our #2 Laravel pick. Its cloud VPS Builds give you dedicated CPU cores, RAM and NVMe storage, with SSH and root-level options to install Composer, Redis, Supervisor and anything else your Laravel app needs. ScalaHosting manages the server itself, so you focus on the app. See our ScalaHosting review.

As listed by ScalaHosting in October 2026.

Every Build includes SPanel at no extra license cost, SShield real-time security, daily offsite backups, free migrations and a dedicated IP. ScalaHosting's "anytime" money-back policy refunds unused time.

Strengths

  • Dedicated resources on a managed VPS
  • Root-level control for queues and Redis
  • SPanel and SShield included
  • Daily offsite backups and free migrations

Limitations

  • No one-click Laravel installer advertised

How to Deploy a Laravel App to a New Host

  1. Match the environment. Set the PHP version and extensions your Laravel version requires, and create the database.
  2. Deploy the code from Git and run composer install --no-dev.
  3. Configure .env with database, cache, queue and mail settings, then generate the app key if it is a fresh install.
  4. Point the web root at /public so only public files are reachable.
  5. Run migrations and caches with Artisan, and create the storage link.
  6. Add the scheduler cron (every minute) and start queue workers under a process monitor.
  7. Test on a temporary URL, then switch DNS and watch the logs.

Managed platforms such as Cloudways handle much of steps 1 and 4 for you. On a VPS, you do all of them yourself.

Laravel's Own Hosting Tools

The Laravel team offers its own services, including Forge for provisioning servers, Envoyer for zero-downtime deployments, Vapor for serverless hosting and Laravel Cloud as a fully managed platform. Developer platforms such as DigitalOcean, Render and Fly.io also appear in Laravel comparisons. Check each provider's site for current pricing and features. For how Cloudways compares with its parent company, see our Cloudways vs DigitalOcean comparison.

Laravel Hosting FAQs

What Is the Best Hosting for Laravel?

Bluehost is our #1 pick, with shared, VPS and dedicated options under one provider. Cloudways offers one-click Laravel installation, SSH, Composer, Git deployment, built-in Redis and staging on managed cloud servers, from $14 a month as shown by default on its pricing page.

Can I Host Laravel on Shared Hosting?

Small apps can run on shared hosting with SSH access, but queue workers, Redis and minute-by-minute cron are often limited. Managed cloud or a VPS is more reliable for production.

Do I Need a VPS for Laravel?

Not always. Managed cloud platforms such as Cloudways and AccuWeb.Cloud run Laravel without you managing the server. A VPS makes sense when you need full control over the stack.

Is There a Free Trial for Laravel Hosting?

Cloudways offers a 3-day free trial with no credit card required, and AccuWeb.Cloud lists a 14-day free trial. ScalaHosting offers an anytime money-back policy instead.

Does Laravel Need Redis?

No, but Redis is the most common choice for Laravel cache, sessions and queues on busy apps. Cloudways includes Redis on its plans; on a VPS you install it yourself.

Can I Host Several Laravel Apps on One Server?

Yes. Cloudways says you can host multiple Laravel apps per server, and on a VPS from ScalaHosting or AccuWebHosting you can run as many as your resources allow.
